Missions
"...to preach the Gospel even to the
regions
beyond..."
II
Corinthians10:16
From its beginning, Trinity Bible Church has been
committed to Missions. Through our prayers and financial
support, we strive to follow the mandate to send missionaries on their
way in a manner "worthy of God"

TAKE A LETTER AND PRAY
There are copies of each current correspondence and/or newsletters from our missionaries on the rack at the front door. Please take one each week and pray for them each day. Thank you!
YOU ARE EITHER A MISSIONARY OR A MISSION FIELD
"Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work." A.B. Simpson
"The history of missions is the history of answered prayer." Samuel Zwemer
"People who don't believe in missions have not read the New Testament. Right from the beginning Jesus said the field is the world. The early church took Him at His word and went East, West, North and South." J. Howard Edington
"People who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives ... and when the bubble has burst, they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted." Nate Saint, missionary martyr
"You can give without loving. But you cannot love without giving." Amy Carmichael, missionary to India
"The mission of the church is missions" Oswald J. Smith
"We talk of the Second Coming; half the world has never heard of the first." Oswald J. Smith
"If a commission by an earthly king is considered a honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?" David Livingstone
"The spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions. The nearer we get to Him, the more intensely missionary we become." Henry Martyn, missionary to India and Persia
"Today Christians spend more money on dog food then missions" Leoard Ravenhill
"The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed" Hudson Taylor
There are copies of each current correspondence and/or newsletters or personal letters from our missionaries on the rack at the front door. Please take one each week and pray for them each day.
PRAYER REQUESTS & PRAISES
JOSH AND XI0 GARD--VILLAGE MISSIONS -- ask us to continue to pray for those looking for work in their church. They report that God is working in the lives of the people in the church and that they can see it in small ways. Please pray that Josh and Xio would be open to God's direction concerning where they need to put their time in ministry.
RANDY AND WILMA CHARLES--FUMI -- report that they are seeing increased activity in the Maricopa County Jails, with more God Squad volunteers doing Bible studies and one-on-one counseling. The ladies doing Bible studies at the Perryville women's prison are seeing ever increasing attendance. Praise the Lord!
GENE AND JEN ARNOLD--MAF -- ask us to pray for the set-up of the new maintenance school at Moody aviation where they minister. They ask us to continue praying for their adopted girls to receive their visas soon so they can go and bring them home.
MARK HANLON--COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL -- asks us to pray that the children they help will have their innocence made new and their childhood returned. Many have been abused and exploited and nearly all have had to shoulder adult burdens. Pray, too, for their protection. Pray also for the Compassion field staff as they daily put their lives on the line so more that 1.3 million children can know safety and innocence.
VINCE & GAIL TRUJILLO--MEXICAN MEDICAL MINISTRIES -- ask us to pray for the supplies and resources to completely finish the setting up of their housing in Tecate, Mexico. They ask us to pray for Chad and Bri and the safe arrival of their baby this January. They also ask continued prayer for Aaron as he continues to make progress in his recovery. We received a thank you note from Vince and Gail for the $100 Christmas gift received in December.
ED AND SHERYL GUDEMAN--WORLD VENTURE -- ask for prayer for Mark as he will not be returning to Spain with them in June. He will need a place to live and a job for the summer as he will return to Colorado State University next fall. They also sent a note thanking Trinity for the $100 they received at Christmas. They appreciate our concern and care for them.
The mission committee occasionally asks the congregation to give
extra love offerings and gifts for our missionaries and various mission
projects. We are so grateful for your loving response. The
committee has been lax in sharing the thank you notes we have
received from the missionaries. Following are a few of the thank
you notes..
Michelle Beckman writes: "Thank you for loving me so well
through this past year's battle with cancer. I soaked in your love,
prayers and support. You truly displayed Jesus to me. Thank you
for the special gift of $100 this Christmas. I will use it to help pay
for some of my natural supplements.
Joyce Wilhelmson writes: "Thank you so much for your support
gift in November and the Christmas gift of $100. What a delightful
surprise!" Later in the letter she comments that if she buys something
from the "Deep Sea Spa" kiosk she may be able to talk with
the Israeli sales person ( about the Lord).
Gene and Jen Arnold write: "Thank you for all your love, support
and prayers as you've stood with us faithfully over this past year.
Thanks for being a blessing in our lives. We just received your
Christmas gift today. Thanks so much for going over and above! "
Jim and Kay Baker write: "Thank you so much for remembering
us and our ministry children with Christmas gifts of money. You
folks are so faithful to us all year 10ng.....Thank you for the great
knitted hats for our children. We also shared some with the children
on the Navajo Nation. They were joyfully received." ( These
were made and donated by the Ladies Bible Study Group.)
Randy and Wilma Charles write: "We receive your generous
Christmas gift as a special blessing. Thank you so very much! We
appreciate your thoughtfulness in remembering us in this way."
Glenn and Beverely Morrison write: "Just a quick note to express
our gratitude for your thoughtful gift in honor of our beloved Lord
Jesus Christ at the time when we celebrate His birth.
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER Psalm 106:1
ALL OF OUR MISSIONARIES: As we celebrate the birth of our
Lord Jesus may we each remember to pray for our missionaries,
many far from home and family, that they would have a warm and
Blessed Christmas.
Vince & Gail Trujillo (Mexican Medical Mission) recently wrote
and thanked us once again for all of the lovely winter hats which
the Trinity Bible Church Ladies are making for the Mexican folks.
Those folks really do love the hats. The Mission's purpose is to
meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Mexico.
Pray that the needed supplies will continue to be supplied so that
Mexican folks will be cared for and hear about the love that Jesus
has for each of them.
Southwest CBA - Serving here in the desert southwest is exciting
to have some new young pastors taking up the reins in a hand full
of churches; there are some ministries that have been stagnated or
declining for years now fulfilling their Gospel mandate; some of the
smaller congregations are increasingly excited as they see how the
Lord can truly use them and the growth that comes from being
open to the Lord.
Ben & Aleyamma Joseph (Campus Ambassadors) wrote that
they are praising the Lord that the blood clot in Ben's left brain has
totally dissolved. When he returned to the doctor recently, after a
CT scan, his neurosurgeon was surprised to find the clot totally
dissolved. They are so thankful to the Lord, no more medications
or doctors' visits.
Jim and Kay Baker (Navajo Ministries) wrote that they are praying
for houseparents for their children extended care homes. They
ask that we pray for just the "right" people to come with servant
hearts and fill these two positions. The two Navajo assistant ladies
have moved into the homes to care for the children until new couples
are found. These two ladies have worked with the Bakers for
quite some time and the children love them, so they expect the
transition to be rather smooth for the children and the ladies.
Michelle Beckman (STUDENT VENTURE) wrote recently that her
doctor was encouraged and said that her overall blood work looked
great, especially in the light of two surgeries and infection. The
results of the liver test and CEA test should be back very soon.
These two tests will let them know if there is cancer activity in the
cells. Michelle asks that we pray that she will keep her eyes focused
on the Lord during these days. She thanks us for praying
for her.
UPDATES
Believer Beaten By His Brother (The Persecuted Church)
It's hard to believe, isn't it? But, on December 27, 2011, one of Gospel for Asia's church members was badly beaten by his brother who does not know the Lord. The man's name is Heman. In 2007 he and his wife and mother all found Jesus Christ, despite all the difficulties people encounter in Asia when deciding to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.. Danvar, Heman's brother, still practices his family's traditional religion. He has tried over and over again to convince Heman to return to Buddhism, but Heman has refused.
Early in December, 2011, Danvar drank too much alcohol and began beating Heman injuring him badly. He even attacked his own mother. After the attack Danvar went to the homes of nearby believers, verbally attacking them and their pastor, as well.
A pamphlet later appeared charging that the pastor was forcing people to convert to Christianity. In Asia, this is a felony, and many pastors are in prison for this false charge.
After these incidents occurred a Gospel for Asia pastor learned that an anti-Christian group was using Danvar to set up these charges. The village is now set against the pastor and the believers in the area.
Gospel for Asia alerted members of their ministry as to what was happening, and people began to pray for the situation, and those prayers have been answered.
On January 6 Danvar filed a case against Gospel for Asia-supported Pastor, Arman Ravvi, and the 10 elders of the church Heman attends. The court was told of the above accusations and the following day Pastor Amaan and the elders went to the police about the situation. The police could not find any authentic charges and closed the case. Hallelujah! The pastor and members of his congregation are thankful to the Lord for answering the prayers of these true believers so quickly.
Please pray for this little church, that their ministry will not suffer from all these problems. Pray also for peace in their village, for the believers to be steadfast and faithful witnesses for the Lord, and that the unbelievers' souls in the village will be awakened to the love of our blessed Savior, Jesus Christ, and become believers.
TIMOTHY AND GLORIA HAGQUIST Serving With World Venture in the Philippines
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity! Ps. 133:1
Tim and Gloria write that this was the sense all the paraticipants had at Bukid sa Paglaum this past fall when 20 missionary and ministry groups serving in Mindanao gathered at Hope
Mountain.
The purpose was that God would be glorified through Christian organizations partnering together to gain ministry exposure, network for ministry opportunities and celebrate how God's gifts to each group benefits the Body of Christ through: Mission Mobilization, Discipleship Ministries, Cultural Arts & Products, Livelihood Projects, Vocational Training, Agricultural Products, Health Education, etc.
The 20 mission and ministry groups had booths where they presented their unique ministries. There were training seminars and demonstrations. Tribal Missions Foundation recruited and organized the mission lectures. Global Impact coordinated logistics and provided a zip-line and children's activities. A Salaam A Likum provided medical and prayer support.
This gathering was an idea that the Lord placed on Gloria's heart and they were really excited about how the Lord put all the details together.
Tim and Gloria recently spent a week in Manila for medical purposes. The small lump that was in Gloria's esophagus is gone and medication will take care of any problems. This was a concern as both Gloria's father and brother died of esophageal cancer. Tim had cataract surgery on both eyes and during the pre op physical, it was discovered that he has diabetes. Because of the early diagnosis, the diabetes is under control.
If you want to read more about their Hope Mountain Ministry and their praise and prayer concerns, please take one of their letters from the mission information rack in the narthex.
Trinity supports the Hagquists $330 monthly.
SANDY ECKELBERRY WORLDVENTURE
Sandy Eckleberry serves in the Philippines.
A recent letter received from Sandy shared about the recent E. coli bacteria outbreak in water pipes at one of the coastal communities. The folks in this community are very poor and they are living on the shore by the ocean. Their houses are made of bamboo and raised up on stilts to help keep the house dry during high tide. It was discovered that there were leaks in the water line provided by the local government to the community and sadly they heard a few days ago that a fifth child had died.
Their mission team has been working in the community for three years and an issue that they have been addressing as part of the educational program is sanitation. However, change isn't easy and many folks still prefer to use the nearby tree grove rather than the newly installed toilet facilities. Please pray that the folks will be open to better ways of personal sanitation. Pray too for those dealing with the grief of the deaths in the community. Pray that the local government will take responsibility to fix the broken water pipes which provide the water to the community pump.
The ministry team asks that we pray that they will be able to share about the peace of Allah (God) through Isa (Jesus). The team is asking God to cause a movement of people to Himself in this community and that they will in tum become witnesses to their own communities.
Pray for other communities where the Filipino teams serve. There are four teams working in 5 communities providing pre-school, education for out of school youth, adult literacy and elementary High School equivalency, and livelihood training, such as sewing, mechanics, cell phone repair, production of coconut oil and oil products. In each training, the Word of God is shared through Bible stories. Pray for receptive hearts.
Trinity Bible Church supports Sandy Eckelberry $330.00 monthly.
Somalia's Cruel Streets (The Persecuted Church)
Think for a moment....What would you do if your 17 year-old daughter were being held captive simply because she had decided to accept Jesus Christ as her personal savior? Would you encourage her? Would you tell her to hide her feelings about Christ? Would you ask her to disavow her faith in Christ, especially if you, yourself, were not a Christian? That's what Nurta's family did when they learned of her conversion. They asked her to recant.
Nurta endured months of torture from her family and friends, but finally escaped her family and fled to live with relatives in a different town. Unfortunately, it was in this town to which she fled that Nurta met her final fate and paid the highest price she could for her faith in Christ.
While on the street, Nurta was met by two men whom she did not recognize. They shot her at point blank range, hitting her in the chest and head. People from this town were reported to say that these gunmen were either her relatives, or acting on behalf of her family.
This activity took place in Somalia where persecution of Christians is common. Please pray that the senseless death of this child will give those Christians around her courage and strength to stand strong in their faith. Remember that very often it is women and children whose lives are at the greatest risk. Nurta's family and friends are greatly in need of prayer to come to Christ, as are the majority of the Somali people. Those that persecute are greatly in need of prayer as well. Our Lord Jesus Christ would forgive them just as readily as He forgave you and me.
We are already in the year 2012!
It seems like the years go by so rapidly, and we wonder if we are doing the things God has prepared for us to do. (Eph. 2:10) One thing we know that God wants us to do is pray for our missionaries. Your mission committee has put a book mark with the names of the missionaries we help support and the organizations we have an interest in in the bulletin. We would ask you to take this and pray daily for one or more on the missionaries named. Our missionaries often comment about the importance of prayer in their lives and ministries. If you need more information about our missionaries, we have a directory with information about them available for you. The mission information center in the narthex has their recent prayer letters also available for you to take and use. If you have any questions about either, ask one of the committee members.
We, on the mission committee, are so grateful for your interest in missions. You have been so generous in your giving for the needs of the missionaries. We were able to give each of our missionary units $100 as a Christmas gift to be used as they desire. What a blessing!! You also gave enough $20 gifts so that each of the 15 Navajo children named on the Christmas tree received a $20 gift. Thank you so much.
One of the events we are looking forward to this year is the Mission Conference which features missionaries supported by Trinity Bible Church. The dates for the conference are:
Mission Banquet on March 16 with Vince Truijillo speaking. Many of our missionaries will be attending as our guests.
On Sunday March 18, Ed and Sheryl Gudeman will be speaking at the Bible hour as well as the Sunday morning worship service. On that Sunday evening we will have Glenn Morrison and/or Randy Charles speak.
On Thursday, March 22, the new president and CEO of the Phoenix Rescue Mission, Jay A. Cory, will be our speaker at the luncheon. We are also interested in the new Women and Children facility they have recently opened. So plan to attend all the sessions to "catch up" with our special missionaries and their ministries.
JANIE SINKO
Serving with IN Network in SLOVAKIA
Greetings to all of us here at Trinity Bible Church were recently
received from Janie Sinko who serves the Lord in Slovakia
with IN Network. She communicated that she deeply
appreciates our interest and prayers for her and her family.
Janie and Pavel visited here at Trinity about two years ago.
Perhaps you might remember Janie as the missionary whom
we shared a special gift with for some much needed dental
work. As you may also remember, her husband Pavel Sinko
also ministers in Slovakia.
Janie would appreciate continued prayer for her family. She
asks that we would pray for her and Pavel to have wisdom as
they raise their children. The children are in the teenage
years. As we know those years can present their special issues
that parents and teens need to address and work
through.
Janie shared too that she is now caring for her mother. She
asks for strength and patience as she takes care of her. Caring
for her family, her mother and her ministry make Janie a
very busy lady. Let us uphold her each day in prayer.
In her ministry Janie meets with a group of women on a
regular basis. She shares that she would appreciate prayer
for wisdom and guidance in how to share the Gospel, deepen
their relationships and disciple each one of these beloved
women. She asks for prayer for sensibility toward these dear
women and for the leading of the Holy Spirit as she searches
for solutions to problems in their lives.
Trinity Bible Church supports Janie Sinko $200.00 per month.
JOYCE WILHELMSON
(New Tribes Mission - Retired)
Joyce wrote in a recent letter that it has been difficult to learn to live and
organize her life alone. As you may recall, Bob, her husband of 59 years
went into the presence of the Lord on August 13, 2011.
She continued: " On July 3rd, I had read Bob a devotional based on James
4:6, (and other verses), "but He gives more grace...". The paragraph
headings stuck in my mind: "God gives more grace than I can use," "God
gives more grace than I need." "God gives more grace than I expect."
and God gives more grace than I ask for." "His river of grace is for your
every need, every day, every trial, every sorrow, every problem, every
joy, and every service." These thoughts have been such a great encouragement
to me!!"
Joyce continues to go to the mall seeking Israeli folks to witness too. She
carries on the ministry she enjoyed with her beloved Bob giving out Hebrew/
English New Testaments to those who will take them.
Joyce enjoys getting out and walking, using her walker. She is thankful
for friends who are willing to take her to doctor appointments and shopping.
Her current prayer requests are that she will be found faithful in all that
she does. She also asks that she have a fruitful outreach to Israelis in the
mall this Christmas Season. Pray too that she will be able to find rides to
the mall since she doesn't drive anymore.
She sends her gratitude to us as we continue to pray and support her financially.
She signs her letter,
"Grafted in and Grateful," Joyce Wilhelmson
Trinity Bible Church supports Joyce Wilhelmson $150.00 monthly.
"GOSPEL 4 KIDS"
(Dave and Nicki Evans)
Dave and Nicki Evans have been in full-time ministry 13 years.
They began their ministry with Child Evangelism Fellowship in
1998, serving with CEF for almost four years. Then in April 2002
the Evans' began Gospel 4 Kids, desiring to reach as many children
as possible with the Gospel throughout Arizona. Since that
time, many thousands of children have been reached with the
Good News of Jesus Christ.
In a recent letter Dave shared that they knew of at least 650 children
who have been counseled about receiving the Lord Jesus
Christ as Savior over these years.
The ministry is shared through partnering with churches, Christian
Schools, Daycares and other children's ministries, organizations
and individuals. Many of these locations the Evans' have been
to several times. Now they are Asking Prayer for reaching out to
new locations in Arizona.
Dave and Nicki conduct VBS Programs, Gospel Parties, Gospel
Presentations and Open-Air Evangelism.
They praise the Lord that they were able to go to four new locations
this past summer.
Their family news is that daughter Faith is now in kindergarten.
She loves school. She has had some difficulty adjusting to being
separated from her folks. They are working through this situation,
please pray for wisdom for both the parents and Faith.
Dave and Nicki send their thanks for the prayers and support that
helped them have a great and safe summer of ministry.
Trinity Bible Church supports the Evans' $200.00 per month.
Follow Up Ministries, International
This is an excerpt from a letter written by one of those that has
been ministered to.
Ysmail writes from his Arizona prison cell:
"...I am incarcerated in a maximum security unit in Florence, Arizona.
In June of 2009 I was in Tucson and a couple of guys from
Follow Up Ministries visited here. I went to the two day sessions
(seminar) and I began a correspondence (Bible) course. I was
wondering if you still offer that same course. I have accepted
Jesus as my Savior and I'm beginning the journey of a young
Christian. Any lessons you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
If the materials cost. please let me know and I will see what I can
do."
YOU TOO CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE'S LIFE.
PRAYER is often the key to spiritual victory for some struggling
soul for whom Christ died. Every believer can PRAY.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT makes it possible for our God Squad
staff and volunteers to go behind the walls of juvenile institutions,
jails and prisons with the life-changing message of Jesus
Christ, equipped to show them how to follow Christ.
BECOME INVOLVED in sharing your personal love and concern
for those who are isolated from their loved ones and
friends by bringing them the message of our Lord Jesus Christ.
LEARN VALUABLE INSIGHTS by participating in the next GOD
SQUAD ORIENTATION Class, or you may receive the same
training by correspondence through our "Outpost" program. For
information call the Sun City West, Arizona office at 623-975-1734.
THANKS! - MISSIONARIES CHRISTMAS GIFTS
The total offering is $1,766.00. These funds will be divided and
sent as a special gift to our supported missionaries.
Mexican Medical Ministries
Words from the President, Steve Crews
Thank you for your donation of 90 hats and baby quilt on 10/5/11. This
donation will benefit our clinics and mission sites throughout Mexico to
help the needy in those communities.
The purpose of Mexican Medical is to meet both the physical and
spiritual needs of the people in Mexico. We operate in cooperation with
several non-profit Civil Associations incorporated in Mexico. As a charitable
organization, we depend on the donation of funds, general supplies,
medical supplies and medical equipment from many concerned individuals,
hospital supplies warehouses, organizations and church in order to
effectively meet the medical and spiritual needs of the people.
As the weather begins to change and nights are getting cooler, here at
the Mexican Medical warehouse our thoughts turn to stocking caps and
cold medicine. Praise God over 3,000 handmade caps, crocheted and
knitted by numerous volunteers have come in throughout the year. An
equally large group people have contributed cold medicine. It may seem
odd that these things are needed in Mexico, but there are millions of
people living near the border where the weather does get cold and most
houses don't have the heating systems we enjoy. So we are ready to
distribute winter hats and cold medicine at our health fairs this November
and December.
One of my favorite jobs at the health fairs is preparing lunch for everyone.
I enjoy grilling hot dogs - not the healthiest food, I know, but very yummy,
as well as quick and inexpensive, and I also serve a mean vegetable
bean soup.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Please pray for us as we go out to
serve and to deliver the love of Jesus. We will encounter many who need
the hope of Jesus and the touch of healing.
Mexican Medical Ministries, Vince Trujillo
Vince went to San Vicente, where Mexican Medical missionaries Dave
& Lynne Johnson was having a medical team. He helped with the outreach
and lead in the devotions. Then it is south to San Quintin to meet
with Pastor Rafael and working with the Bible School. North a week later
to Ensenada and Gabriel House to meet with Ed & Jill Knox the newest
Mexican Medical missionaries as they get settled in Mexico working with
the children.

The Gideons Go To Malaysia
In early May, an international team of six Gideons from the U.S. and Australia
traveled to Malaysia to conduct a Scripture Blitz.
While a Scripture Blitz in any country can present its share of challenges,
the conditions are especially difficult in Malaysia. Because Malaysia is a
mostly Islamic country, there is strong tension for Christians there.
The official religion is Islam. The law there states that if you are born a
Muslim or become a Muslim, you are a Muslim for life. It is against the law
in Malaysia to do anything to entice a Muslim away from their faith.
There is a need, and strong desire on the part of the Gideons to avoid
drawing attention to their distribution activities in Malaysia. Confrontation
with Muslims, particularly school principals, is to be avoided as well as
situations which would involve the police and the media. Such attention
could spoil opportunities to share God's Word with non-Muslims in Malaysia.
GOING TO THE SCHOOLS
Because of the various political and religious issues, the Gideons selected
schools believed to have a higher percentage of non-Muslims. To prepare
for school distribution, the team would visit the school beforehand and
check the gates from which students would exit.
Five minutes prior to the students being dismissed the Gideons would set
up at each gate using supermarket bags to carry Scripture in order to
avoid drawing attention to themselves. They distributed the Scriptures to
any non-Muslims who wanted them. As soon as distribution was complete,
the Gideons would leave the area.
The Scripture was distributed at 61 schools and colleges,10 convalescent
homes, 98 hospitals and medical clinics, 10 law firms and 21 hotels.
PRAYER NEEDS
Safety and strength for Christian brothers and sisters in the face of Christian
persecution. Strong Christian leaders, who are grounded in Biblical
truth.
Taken from the Gideons International Update.

COMPASSION
Rescuing children from poverty in Jesus' name
This is a letter from the pastor of a church that
partners with the Child Survival Program that we help to support.
Greetings from Pastor Freddy Loor Mendoza and the
Child Sponsorship Program and the Child Survival Program in the city of
Guayaquil in the Republic of Ecuador.
"I thank God and each one of you sponsors of the
Child Survival Program for the blessings that the program represents for
the life of our church, Iglesia Plenitud de Dios and also our community
that is located on the north side of Guayaqui.
Our church is developing a vision that is focused on
service God and the community. The Compassion program fit in perfectly
with our social responsibility to help adults, boys and girls with most
pressing financial and spiritual needs. We serve those closest to us in
a place called Mapasingue Este.
We have had the Child Survival Program for about two
years, and it has had a favorable impact for 48 mothers and 45 children
(0-3 yr) that are being sponsored. Many mothers and their children have
been helped in the areas of health, nutrition and biweekly workshops. We
have been able to save the lives of mothers and children.
In the spiritual area we have had important results;
12 of the mothers received Christ as the Savior, 6 have been baptized
and are members of the church.
I say goodbye thanking you with all my heart for the
effort you make to send financial resources to support this program.
Thank you for making it possible for us to manifest the love of God to
our neighbor and extend the work of the Lord throughout the earth."
May God continue blessing you greatly!
Sincerely,
Freddy Loor Mendoza, Pastor
PRAYER AND PRAISES
TIM &
GLORIA HAGGUIST/SANDY ECKELBERRY, World Venture, Philippines. We just
want you to know that we are safe, we continue in our ministry work as
before, but we have been asked to keep a lower profile and avoid areas
where problems could exist. Hope Mountain is located near a large Muslim
population.
At the present time, we support the following missionaries
and mission agencies, as they proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the
unsaved, and to those who have never heard the message of Salvation,
both at home and abroad.

COMPASSION - CHILD SURVIVAL PROGRAM
The letter below
is from a mother in Ecuador our church has helped support through the
Child Survival Program.
April 27, 2011
Dear Sponsor,
I am Brigida Denisse Chilan Tomala,
mother of the child, Allan Chilan Tomala. I am thankful to have been
selected to write you. May God's blessings always be in your life and
in your family's lives.
I am 21 years old. I am happy to
have this opportunity to write to you and let you know how I feel about
the Child Survival Program. I live with my three sisters (I am a single
mother), my son and his pet.
My house is made out of dried
bamboo, it has one multi-use room and a kitchen. I live in the East
Mapasingue neighborhood in the city of Guayaquil. It is located at the
edge of the city limits. It is a good neighborhood. I do not have
stable job, but I usually make about 50 dollars every two weeks.
Allan Joseph Chilan Tomala is a 2
year old. He is a joyful child and likes to play with toy cars, balls
and LEGOS. His favorite fruits are grapes and granadilla (a type of
passion fruit). He eats vegetable soup and fried fish. He dances and
plays with his pets.
Thanks to the stimulation he
recognizes many animal sounds and he can name them. He is
healthy and developing well. I want him to go to school so he can become a great professional in the future.
The Child Survival Program provided
classes on how to prevent disease. The workshops they give have helped
me to obtain monetary income. They also give us medical attention and
medicine.
I thank you for giving a friendly
hand to the children of low re- sources.
May there be more special donors like you so that more
mothers and children in need can receive help.
May God multiply your blessings.

children.
Sandy Eckelberry, World Venture, Philippines :
PRAY for Jenine, the 10 year old daughter of one of their Filipino
families working among the Muslims in two poor communities. She needs
to take medication for Primary Complex (TB for younger children). This
is the third time in the past few years that she has shown symptoms and
has to take the meds for 6 months. PRAY that she will take the
medication joy-fully and will respond well to it. In April and May,
several mission activities designed for youth will be happening in the
Muslim communities where our Filipino partners work. PRAY for the
Kairos Missions Course that I and several other facilitators will lead
for the youth before they have the missions exposure trip into the
communities. PRAY that their hearts will be touched for missions -
either as prayer warriors, mobilizers in their churches, or goers!
I'm praying through this year 2011 whether this will be
my last year of service in the Philippines. Please PRAY with me for
clear direction.
Timothy & Gloria Hagquist, World Venture, Philippines:

have His healing Hand on him and the tumor will be completely gone.
PRAY for the leadership of Arise Mindanao. Arise Mindanao is a
movement, centered around planting churches, that is designed to
address the deep issues of corruption, violence, economic instability,
and community trans-formation in Mindanao.
